Travel Softball:
If your daughter is interested in testing her abilities against some of the better payers in the area, then a travel team may be right for her. The Skokie do not have a travel level team but there are independent travel programs in the area that offer this experience. These programs conduct tryouts in late summer, typically at the 10u, 12u, 14u levels, and usually limit their roster to 12 girls at each level.
Fury All-Star team:
This team is a house league All-Star team and is not open to players from travel programs. This team consists of players from the Skokie, Niles, Morton Grove and Lincolnwood house programs and compete in 2-3 tournaments in July. The Fury has a team for 10u and 12u levels, with tryouts for Fury taking place in late summer and select 12 girls total for each level. To play on this team, you must be signed up for one of the house programs listed above. This team is perfect for girls that aren’t quite ready for travel softball or do not want the commitment of travel program.
